Our founder created the energy and innovative spirit of our company by establishing and nourishing exceptional long-term relationships with his customers and employees. By mentoring his employees and through prudent stewardship of the company’s resources, he established a lasting niche in the customs brokerage community. Under Charles M. Schayer Jr.’s new management, the company diversified our services in 1981 to include logistics. This strategic move aimed to enhance efficiency by offering both logistics and customs brokerage services under one roof.

Westward Expansion
Charles M. Schayer & Co. expanded its operations by opening branches in Los Angeles, Seattle, and Phoenix to enhance service for our clients and support the growing business opportunities in the Asian market.
2006
CTPAT Certification
In 2006, Charles M. Schayer & Co. became CTPAT certified as part of our ongoing commitment to security. We proudly maintain our CTPAT validated status today.

Midwest Development
Building on its strong foundation in Denver, Charles M. Schayer & Co. expanded its Midwest presence by establishing new locations in Houston, Omaha, and Kansas City.
2022
Eastward Growth
Following the growth of our Midwest operations, Charles M. Schayer & Co. continued its expansion eastward by establishing locations in Charleston, SC, Newark, NJ, and Dalton, GA.

We have embraced the use of technology to enhance our knowledge and experience, enabling us to efficiently meet our customers’ needs. While technology is an incredible tool, it can never replace the expertise of skilled professionals. This is why we maintain a full-service team of brokers, with over 30% being licensed customs brokers, alongside a logistics staff with decades of experience across all modes of shipping. We strongly believe that the combination of technology, expertise, and professionalism will continue to drive our success in the future
